A heavy, red matrix of ironstone upon which sits a blanket of large, well-formed Quartz crystals. Nearly all have excellent terminations and a high degree of transparency. This makes them gemmy, coupled with a slight pink tinge due to iron covering and inclusions. One crystal, at the front, is particularly interesting, consisting of a twin pair, separated by a thin waist between the two individual parts. The bottom of the matrix has been sawn for best display.
